Sound emission devices
Range of sound emission equipment (audio equipment) it is preferable to divide into 6 basic groups, taking into account the purpose and conditions of use of this equipment. So you can distinguish:
• full-size Hi-Fi sets, being the most modern systems for reception, recording and playback of sound;
• Mini Hi-Fi sets, which are "mini" versions of full-size systems, containing an amplifier, tape recorder, tuner and cd player (CD) in one device;
• mobile devices, i.e. portable Hi-Fi sets, portable radios;
• personal devices, i.e. players and radios with headphones, radios and CD players;
• car stereos, i.e. cassette and cd radios, CD changers;
• equipment, Ie. earphone, Speakers, microphones and others.
Full-size Hi-Fi kits consist of an amplifier, Tuner, CD player, double-cassette tape recorder and speakers. The tuner is a module designed exclusively for receiving radio waves. Tuners in these sets receive long waves, medium and VHF. They are additionally equipped with a programmer, generally capable of being programmed to 40 Station. The signal from the tuner is transmitted to the amplifier, which also supports other hardware modules, Ie. tape recorder and CD player, from which the signals are also amplified. The amplifier's electronic circuit performs most of the functions related to sound processing and reproduction. Double cassette recorder, in addition to other functions, also allows you to quickly copy the contents of the cassette tape. The CD player can also allow you to play discs according to the adopted program, repeat playback and is equipped with a changer and CD magazine. The signal leaving the amplifier goes to the speaker sets, which transform it into an acoustic wave. The speaker system consists of several so-called. loudspeakers. These speakers have a special design and generally consist of several speakers. The number of loudspeakers can be 2-5, depending on the functions performed by the equipment. Depending on the purpose and role they play in the set, loudspeakers may contain subwoofers (to ok. 22 cm in diameter and larger) or midrange, tweeters (5-8 cm diameter) and super-tweeters (2 – 3 cm diameter).
Amplifiers used in this type of equipment generally have an output power (so-called. rated power) not exceeding 100 In, measured at each of the two main outputs (Front) Amplifier. Middle and rear outputs are generally much less powerful, than the outputs of the front set. The power of each of the loudspeakers connected to the amplifier outputs must not be less than the rated power of the output.
■ Mini sets combine almost all the functions of large Hi-Fi sets and can reproduce sound with a quality comparable to that of full-size sets. The advantage of mini sets is the internal wiring of the main assembly, containing basic hardware modules. So there is no need to connect the individual modules of the device manually using cables by the user. Full-size and mini kits are equipped with a remote control system, implemented by means of a controller.
■ Portable devices are primarily single-speaker or dual-speaker radios (two-column). Fixed and retractable handle in the upper part of the housing allows you to carry these devices. This equipment can be powered by alternating current from the mains or DC from batteries or accumulators. The weight of the equipment without batteries should not exceed 8 Kg. The output power of these devices does not generally exceed 10 In. The qualities of this equipment can be varied. The most extensive devices can include many similar functions, as in mini sets. Most sets have a built-in single-cassette or two-cassette tape recorder, while some are equipped with a CD player,DVD. Small mono radios, often used in the household, can be additionally equipped with a clock with a large digital indicator and perform the functions of an alarm clock.
■ The range of personal equipment is rich. Personal devices are powered by batteries or accumulators. Most of them are equipped with headphones for stereo reception. Personal devices include:
• tuners with CD players,DVD or CD players themselves,DVD;
• tuners with cassette recorders (in some versions with a built-in flat microphone or speaker);
• tuners with cassette players or cassette players themselves (Walkmans);
• pocket radios with headphones or additionally built-in speaker (some versions may include a calculator with a phone book and a clock);
• voice recorders (these are cassette tape recorders equipped with a microphone) with built-in flat microphone or wired microphone.
