Technological systems in the boiler room – basic elements. Hydraulics: boiler, hydraulic lines with devices (Pump, Valves), heating circuits (c.o., c.w.u.). Fuel delivery system: fuel tank, fuel lines, burner. Exhaust system: combustion chamber, flue gas pipes in the boiler, connection cable, chimney. Automation system: driver, Sensors, actuators.
The technology of generating and supplying heat to the needs of a given facility includes the following systems:
- hydraulic system,
- fuel delivery system,
- exhaust gas system,
- automation system.
The hydraulic system is designed to maintain circulating water (i.e. the so-called. zładu) in the required condition and its proper distribution. It consists of: timpani, HOT WATER heaters, Pump, Valves, water distribution pipes, expansion vessels, filters, etc..
The fuel supply system includes the storage and delivery of the required amount of fuel to the burner (Hearth). In gas- and oil-fired boiler rooms, fuel is supplied by wires, prepared and fed to the burner by a set of automated burner devices.
The flue gas exhaust system consists of a combustion chamber (the combustion chamber), the flue gas pipes inside the boiler and the flue gas discharge pipe to the outside. The burner can be considered as a common part of the flue gas exhaust system and the fuel supply system, because the fuel supply path ends there, a starts the process of creating the exhaust gas. At the interface between these two systems, the chemical energy contained in the fuel is converted into thermal energy. This is accompanied by the formation of exhaust gases and mechanical impurities (dust and soot), which must be led outside the building in a way that ensures the safety of people and the correct operation of the boiler room equipment.
The automation system is designed to ensure optimal operation and cooperation of all components of technological systems in the boiler room. It is composed of control devices (sensors and controllers) and actuators, including devices ensuring the safety of operation of individual systems. The description of the automation system in the hydraulic system and the types of boiler room control are described in the chapter 6. Automation elements in other systems were discussed simultaneously with the description of the functioning of these systems.
A very important problem, affecting the technology of generating and transferring heat to the needs of a given facility, is the design of boiler room rooms. The requirements for non-boiler rooms are also important, and in which the boiler was placed.
