Laundry equipment.
Household laundry equipment offered by trade, this: rotary washing machines, Drum (Automatic), washer-dryers, dryers and centrifuges for linen.
Centrifuges are used to drain water from fabrics in the last stage of washing. Wet underwear is placed in the drum and subjected to rapid rotational movements, which cause large amounts of water to centrifuge. This process significantly accelerates drying.
Rotary washing machines at the bottom of the tank have a rotor installed, which sets in rotation dirty underwear and water with detergents. As a result of movement and the action of detergents, dirt particles are removed from the fabric fibers and washed out with water to the outside. These devices are not equipped with heaters for heating water, nor do they have the ability to centrifuge water. When washed in rotary washing machines, fabrics are exposed to significant friction, which may cause partial destruction.
The rotational movement of underwear in water can also be triggered by electromagnetic stirrers.
The most practical and most willingly purchased are drum washing machines, called automatic. During washing, the drum moves along with the fabrics inside the device. The desired washing option is selected by setting the programmer accordingly. Such design solutions eliminate the negative impact of friction and protect fabrics from damage. Washing consists in setting the underwear in rotation in a washing bath. The water is centrifuged by increasing the number of rotations of the drum and draining it outside by means of a rubber hose. Automatic washing machine is one of the most complex devices, used in the household. It consists of, among others. with (on the example of the automatic washing machine "Gracja" by "Polar"):
• housing made of stainless steel sheet covered with a thin layer of stoving varnish, which protects against corrosion and gives an appropriately aesthetic appearance;
• a tank resiliently suspended inside the housing, which causes damping of its vibrations during the movement of the drum;
• openwork drum inside the stainless steel tank, where dirty linen is put;
• an electric motor, which together with other elements is the drive of the washing machine drum;
• hydrostatu, i.e.. an electromechanical device controlling the level of the washing liquor;
• programmer, i.e.. an electromechanical device controlling the washing process;
• heaters for heating water;
• a thermostat, i.e.. automatic washing temperature control.
Some types of automatic washing machines can be adapted to use cold or hot water from the mains. Taking hot water for washing allows you to reduce electricity consumption by approx. 15%, depending on the type of program.
Characterizing laundry equipment (washing machines) basic functional characteristics should be provided, to which they belong:
- dimensions: height (for example. 85, 65 Cm), width (for example. 60, 43, 40 Cm), depth (for example. 65, 60, 59, 34 Cm);
- mass (for example. 80, 77, 64, 61 Kg);
- spin speed (500-1500 rpm);
- a load of fabrics for washing (for example. 4-5 Kg);
- the number of basic washing programs (for example. 16, 18, 20, 22);
- Energy consumption (for example. 1,9-2,25 Kwh);
- water consumption (for example. 80 -100 l).
Please note, to keep the washing machine drum smooth, no sharp edges, and the drum housing is sealed, to protect other components from flooding. During operation, all washing devices must be completely safe for the user. Confirmation of this fact, as well as a high level of quality, there is a trademark "B", placed by the manufacturer on the product casing. Apart from it, there should be obligatory other trademarks, in accordance with PN-88 / E-08230/01 (from 1994 r. covered by the obligatory clause):
- trade name of the product, for example. „Dafne”,
— trademark, for example. „Polar”,
- washing machine serial number,
- year of production,
- type of washing machine,
- rated values (located on the rating plate on the rear of the product),
- energy attestation sign.
Information signs are often presented in a cartoon form.
According to the manner in which the charge opening is located, drum washing machines are divided into:
- washing machines with a front loading opening,
- washing machines with a top loading opening.
Washing machines and other laundry equipment are kept in dry rooms, away from chemicals and heat sources, at an ambient temperature of at least 5 ° C and a maximum relative humidity 70%. During transport, the equipment should be protected, first of all, against mechanical damage, i.e.. padding, scratching the paintwork or dents. The use of locks is recommended, brackets, which protect individual elements of devices, especially moving parts. The washing machine should be packed in a unit package, at the same time constituting a transport packaging.
When selling laundry equipment, the seller must attach a warranty card and an instruction manual.
