Designing – Heating fireplace

tmpa6a-18The heating fireplace is equipped with a large glass pane, which only slightly limits the view of the burning fire. As in a convection oven, its hearth is a cast iron insert. When designing a heating fireplace, we can do the same, as in the case of a convection oven. We draw a horizontal projection of the fireplace in the scale 1:10 and we put on it a horizontal projection of the heating insert. We must remember then about the air flowing around the cartridge and about the insulation of the walls. Manufacturers offer heating inserts usually without additional heating boxes, because for these cartridges an additional heating box is usually unacceptable. If we still want to have it, we must unconditionally remember, that the contribution is properly authorised. In principle, a separate chimney duct is required for a heating fireplace. If there is no such cable in the building, you can choose a cartridge with self-closing doors.
The following terms refer to the upper sketch: 1 = fireplace insert, 2 = flue gas pipe. 3 = wall insulation, 4 = visible wall of the heating fireplace, 5 = extension, 6 = fireplace bench.
