Oil furnace with a water tank.
Non-capillary petroleum furnaces. Due to the high temperature, the surfaces of this type of furnace do not meet hygiene requirements, all the more, that they pollute the air with the products of combustion - carbon monoxide and dioxide. However, one of the types of oil furnace, heating with hot water, deserves attention. This furnace has a wick oil burner and a regulator, sheet metal heaters filled with water, metal tank with a centrally located pipe for the discharge of exhaust gases. On the sides - at the top and bottom - this tank is connected to the radiators and when filled with water, it serves as a boiler, from which heated-water circulates in the radiators. In the upper part of the heater there is a valve for releasing the air from the heaters, the kerosene tank is located at the bottom of the apparatus. The filling opening is closed at the top of the reservoir.
With relatively positive characteristics, compared with other oil furnaces, supplying the combustion products to the chimney would significantly improve the hygienic conditions of the furnace, but it would reduce its thermal efficiency.
