HEAT RECEIVERS (RADIATORS)
Elements opposing heat sources, and at the same time final elements in central heating installations, decisive for the heating effect, there are radiators installed indoors. Their task is to take the heat obtained in boilers from the heating medium transferred from the internal pipes of the heating system and transfer it to the heated rooms.. The heaters are diaphragm water-air or steam-air heat exchangers. Heaters are also heating elements integrated with building partitions. The location of heaters at external walls or under windows is related mainly to the desire to eliminate the negative impact of cool walls on the human body and to obtain the desired air circulation within the premises.
A simplified diagram of a central water heating installation. Marks: 1 – source of heat (K -boiler), 2 – power cable supplying the heating medium to the heat receivers (Heaters), 3 – heat energy receiver (heater), 4 – pipe discharging the cooled heating medium to the boiler, 5 – heat losses, 6 – radiator thermal efficiency
