A circular drainage solution for a building with a horizontal projection area of ≤ 200 m² with a diagram of drainage pipes and the location of flushing chambers – control
Elements of the band drainage installation:
• Drainage pipes – They require approval for the ability to absorb water when it is dammed up to 0,2 m above the bottom of the pipe. The gradient of the drainage pipes must be uniform and must be at a minimum 0,5 % to the lowest collection pit.
If surface drainage is also provided under the basement floor, it should be connected to the circular drainage with pipes led through the continuous footing, keeping approx 1 % decline.
• Gravel cover – Drainage pipe (filter) should be covered with coarse gravel at least thick 15 Cm.
• Filter fleece – It prevents siltation of the gravel cover of the drainage; stacked with 10 cm with an overlap separates the gravel from the ground in the bunker,
• Flushing and control wells – Installed whenever the drainage system changes direction (in all corners of the building) for convenient flushing of the drainage along its entire length; minimum diameter 300 mm.
• Drainage plates (oozing) – Plates covering the waterproof insulation of basement walls, against the formation of stagnation of water against the wall. They can be made of porous material with high water permeability, made of extruded polystyrene with grooves on the outer side, covered with filter fleece, e.t.c.
